Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda is pleased to announce Randy Blanchard as its new Chief Nursing Officer.
Blanchard was born in Tallahassee, FL and grew up in southern Georgia, near Tifton. After graduation from Valdosta State University, Randy served four years as a nurse in the Air Force. He then spent the next 21 years at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX in various leadership positions until he accepted his first Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) position in McKinney, TX.
Blanchard holds Master’s degrees in Business and Healthcare Administration and will graduate with his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Texas Tech University in 2014. Randy has eight dogs, is an avid Harley rider, bowler, and golfer. He is also a Master Mason, York Rite and Scottish Rite Mason as well as a Shriner.
