Local Roots co-owner Jean Baer to speak on Sanibel, April 10th

Sanibel, FL, Mar. 27, 2018 – Jean Baer, currently the co-owner of farmers market operator Local Roots, will speak Tuesday April 10th at ABWA Sanibel Captiva’s monthly business dinner. Networking begins at 5:30 PM at the Sanibel Community House 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, FL 33957, followed by business dinner and speaker. Jean Baer is from Wisconsin and holds a B.S. in Recreation Administration.  She served as the recreation director at South Seas Island Resort for 14 years and as the general manager of The Dunes in the late 1990’s.  In addition to operating 9 farmers markets in Lee County, Baer holds her real estate license with Royal Shell Realty, is a Florida licensed auctioneer, is the owner of Recreation Solutions, LLC consulting company, and participates in the family business, Rooster’s Produce in Alva, FL.  Baer has been a Sanibel resident for 30 years, is married and has 2 sons. Her talk will focus on the development of farmers markets and the positive economic impact those markets are having here in Lee County.
