In conjunction with a Technology Skills Gap Survey being conducted by the Southwest Florida Regional Technical Partnership (SWFRTP), CareerSource Southwest Florida (CSSWF) was awarded a grant to provide funding for technology skills upgrading and certification and exam fees. Survey results indicate a high need for Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, Amazon Web Services, PMP and Apple certifications. Grant funds are available for training in more than 100 online technology classes. The SWFRTP is holding an information workshop where CareerSource Southwest Florida will educate area employers and workers on how they can qualify and register for cost-assisted training and certifications. The workshop will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Endeavor Workspaces, 8831 Business Park Dr., #103, Fort Myers, Fla. Register for the information workshop at www.swfrtp.org/events.
