The deadline for Collier County businesses to apply for a Family Friendly Business Award is Sept. 14. Any business that offers benefits that assist employees with families, such as flex time, health insurance or employee-sponsored childcare may be eligible for the designation. The public can also nominate a business online before Sept. 4, by visiting www.collierchildcare.org.
All applicants with family-friendly business practices will be recognized at a breakfast slated for Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Hilton Naples. Tickets are $35.00 per person. Among the winners, two Employer of the Year recipients will be chosen in the following categories: small-medium business (1-49 employees), and large business (50+ employees). Employer of the Year Awards recognize companies that model best practices and innovation in the effort to support work/life balance for employees with families.
