Baby Basics of Collier County, a volunteer organization that has donated over six million free diapers to infants and toddlers from low-income, working families in Collier County and Bonita Springs, has named Jennifer Fey as director of operations. Fey will be responsible for promoting Baby Basics; giving direction toward the achievement of Baby Basics’ philosophy, mission, strategy, annual goals, and objectives; providing support to operations and development councils; and promoting active participation by volunteers in all aspects of Baby Basics’ work.
Fey’s background includes various marketing and nonprofit roles, including as a resource development specialist for the United Way of Collier County; a business development & marketing specialist for First Castle Federal Credit Union; and as a marketing consultant for Steinway Piano Gallery in Bonita Springs. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication and Spanish from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
“Jennifer was thrust into her position just before Hurricane Irma made landfall and quickly fell into place as the organization’s lead in its aftermath. In just a few short weeks, she was able to aid in the request and distribution of over 350,000 diapers. We are grateful to have her skills and expertise to continue our mission of providing diapers and kindness to all of the children in need in Collier County and Bonita Springs,” said Jean Ann Lynch, founder and board director of Baby Basics of Collier County.
