Kevin A. Kyle, a partner of Green Schoenfeld & Kyle LLP, presented a seminar at Pelican Preserve along with Chad Luttrell, a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual.
Kyle presented on various estate planning topics with residents, including primary estate planning documents to avert legal issues in the event of short-term or long-term incapacity. He also discussed the basics of living wills, health care surrogate designations, durable powers of attorney, and do not resuscitate orders; and the pros and cons of revocable living trusts, especially as related to issues involving incapacity and long-term medical care.
Luttrell covered long-term care planning and what it means to have a long-term care policy in place as a critical piece of an estate plan. He also helped residents understand what long-term care covers, how it works and average costs, and how to plan for long-term care.
Kyle has more than 20 years of experience in estate planning and probate, international and domestic trusts, and international and domestic tax advice and business transactions. He is board certified by The Florida Bar as an expert in wills, trusts and estates and tax law and earned an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell – the highest recognition available in the legal industry.
A resident of Fort Myers since 2004, Luttrell is a leading advisor and group leader in the Glenn Black Group. His areas of expertise include long-term care planning, life insurance, disability income planning, financial planning, retirement planning, estate planning and education funding.
