Keiser University, CareerSource announce Career Expo

Keiser University in ­­­­­­Fort Myers is collaborating with CareerSource Southwest Florida to host a Career Expo on Oct. 24 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the campus on 9100 Forum Corporate Parkway in Fort Myers.

The expo will highlight local employers seeking entry to mid-level candidates. It includes breakout sessions for job seekers who want to gain more knowledge on topics related to professionalism.

“We are pleased to partner with CareerSource Southwest Florida for this important community collaboration. It’s a great opportunity to provide job candidates with connections and training to overcome some of the barriers to employment they may face,” said Professor Mike “Q” Quaintance, Keiser University Business Department Chair. 

CareerSource Southwest Florida will offer a session on “What Can CareerSource Do for Me?”

Presenter Judy Armstrong invited attendees to stop by to find out more. “From educational grants, job listings to individualized career counseling, let’s talk,” she said.

The Career Expo features employers from a variety of fields including Healthcare, Health Science, Criminal Justice, Cyber Forensics, Law Enforcement, Logistics, Culinary and Hospitality, Business/Management, Finance, Human Services, and Retail. 

Breakout session topics range from “Acing the In-Person Interview” which will include a panel of Human Resources representatives to “Women in Leadership” that will aim to empower young women to fulfill their career goals.
