To address these topics, Southwest Florida Business Today (SWFBT) is dedicating its April FocusFeature to this theme. 
  
In this edition we are featuring attorneys, employer services, and business security, highlighting the most current legal, operational and security updates that business owners need to know in order to properly and most efficiently operate their businesses. 
This information is especially important to business owners since their environment is ever-changing. For example, a few years ago none of us were really aware of identity theft and we certainly had a completely different understanding of the term “reputation management” than we have today. 
  
In fact, whose industry has NOT felt the impact of some kind of legal change or security issue in the past year? What can you share with our business owner readers about that experience?
 
Guest column guidelines are as follows.  First, we’re looking for original material. Second, it must have a local angle and be written for the business owner/operator. Third, we would like a 20-30 word “mini-bio” of the author and we will print that in addition to contact information. If you have a headshot we can use, that would also be appreciated. The average column is around 500 words but we are open to something more in-depth as well.
