Madden named treasurer for Florida Lions Eye Clinic

Collier County commercial real estate lender Cristin Madden is the new treasurer of the Florida Lions Eye Clinic, a nonprofit that provides free eye care to needy children and families throughout Florida.

Madden, vice president of commercial lending for Charlotte State Bank & Trust in Collier County, is currently serving her second, three-year term on the Eye Clinic board of directors. She is chairing the sponsorship committee for the clinic’s annual fundraiser, the Eyeball Soiree, scheduled for Feb. 23 at the Southwest Florida Event Center in Bonita Springs.

A familiar figure in banking and commercial lending in Collier County, Madden has more than 19 years of commercial lending, business banking and business development experience in both Collier and Lee counties.

The Florida Lions Eye Clinic works with people of all ages and cooperates closely with other agencies in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties to coordinate medical care. Its goal is help those with no medical insurance and income below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. Since 2008, the clinic has provided more than $750,000 worth of free services to the community each year.
