The national law firm of Quarles & Brady, LLP, celebrated its 125th anniversary with a Community Appreciation Day in each of its local markets.
In Naples, the firm presented a $1,250 check to Golden Terrace Elementary School. The funds will be used in the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program, which promotes positive behavior and acknowledges students for their positive behavior choices in school.
Presenting the check were Quarles & Brady Partner Kenneth H. Haney, Third Grade Teacher Kelly Viana, School Principal Dr. Terri Lonneman, Attorney Ashley Sykes, and Adrienne Beaury.
Last year, Quarles & Brady donated more than 23,101 pro bono hours to assist individuals seeking restraining orders, asylum, guardianship of developmentally disabled adult children, protection from eviction, and much more. The firm also is actively involved in advancing the well-being of communities through many other endeavors, particularly those local organizations addressing education or hunger.
Many of the firm’s offices have cultivated relationships with schools, hosting anti-bullying programs, reading with children, donating blankets, spending time in the classroom and securing and readying mountains of school supplies to ensure that every child feels special. In celebration of the firm’s 125th anniversary, each office has partnered with a school or other educational organization and provided a gift meaningful to that entity.
“These gifts are part of our ongoing programs to partner with and positively impact the communities in which we live and work,” said Firm Chair Kimberly Leach Johnson. “As the Quarles & Brady team, we are a powerful force. From our clients to our communities, we make a meaningful difference.”
