Leading Edge Retirement Plan Advisors’ Kerri M. Sisson has received the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. The Center is the standards-setting body for fi360, a full-time training and research facility for national and international fiduciaries.
Sisson, a retirement plan specialist at the Fort Myers-based firm, designs and implements qualified retirement and employee benefit plans for medium to large employers throughout the Southeastern U.S. Her designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.
To receive AIF designation, Sisson completed a rigorous training program, which includes a comprehensive final examination and agreement to abide by the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards. To maintain the designation, she must continue her education and adherence to those ethical standards.
The Center also confers the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA), whose holders are the only recognized professionals trained to perform fiduciary assessments measuring how well investment professionals are fulfilling their duties. Professional Plan Consultant (PPC) designation holders can employ best practices to help plan sponsors run successful and compliant practices.
