The Southwest Florida Women’s Foundation hosted a marketing and branding workshop on Wednesday, March 28th at the Naples Chamber of Commerce. The event launched Business Building Blocks (B3) for Women to support emerging female entrepreneurs. B3 is designed to help entrepreneurs navigate the challenging, initial stages of creating and running a business through guided online learning and workshops.
“Most entrepreneurs are full of ideas for starting a new business. While ideas are exciting, they can also be overwhelming and even scary at times, especially when it comes to deciding what pursue first”, says Brenda Tate, CEO of the Southwest Florida Women’s Foundation. “B3 for Women is designed to help emerging entrepreneurs navigate the very challenging initial stages of creating and running a business. We’re here to make their life easier, their knowledge greater and their anxiety lighter about launching and building a business.”
Business Building Blocks for women is possible thanks to major support from Comerica Bank. The program guides participants through seven modules of training designed to help entrepreneurs lay the foundation for their new business. Building block topics help emerging entrepreneurs learn to:
• Evaluate their business ideas
• Create their unique business brand
• Set up their company
• Access funding for their business
• Market their business in today’s world.
“The information in the B3 workshop was extremely actionable. My paper is probably a book now because I wrote so much on it, there was so much valuable information on how to be a better business owner. I highly recommend B3, I’ve taken several branding and marketing courses and this is by far the most informational and educational one” says Monique Smith, owner of Beauty Braids and Beyond.
