Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations and Brand Architecture has welcomed Gail Gubelman back as a Senior Art Director, designing top-tier brands on behalf of Agency clients. This comes after taking a hiatus six years ago to pursue her own design studio out of Cape Coral, which is still serving select clients to this day.
A native of Singapore, Gubelman came to the United States at the age of 18, migrating to California to attend the University of San Francisco. After graduating from its Academy of Art College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in advertising design in 1995, she relocated to Fort Myers where she took industry-related jobs with the former Tweed Advertising and National Media Services.
Over the five years that followed, Gubelman worked as an Art Director, first for WCI Communities in Bonita Springs and next for the former AdWorks, Inc. in Naples. In 2007, she joined what was then Spiro & Waites Advertising, taking on the same position, before venturing out on her own with Gohman Design, a boutique shop serving companies from two-man operations to corporations under an organization title that combines her maiden and marriage names.
“When I hired Gail for the first time, I was well-aware of her reputation for outstanding concepts and designs. I’ve seen her take huge risks, first when she started a new life here in America and then when she stepped out to establish her own highly successful business that is a testament to her career and experiences. No matter how much time goes by and how much she takes on, she is still true to herself and this Agency and will always execute concepts filled with imagination and depth,” said Christopher T. Spiro, Chief Creative Officer. “I’m proud to call Gail a friend and to continue making her part of our success story.”
