Fort Myers Beach Pier reconstruction project update

Lee County Government’s Fort Myers Beach Pier Reconstruction Project continues to progress as planned. As the project moves toward the start of construction, Lee County is committed to keeping residents, businesses, visitors and the media informed through regular project updates highlighting key milestones, upcoming activities and important information.

It understands the community is eager to see activity return to the beach and the reconstruction of the pier begin. Before construction can start, a project of this scale requires extensive planning and coordination to safely mobilize crews, equipment and materials. This important work is already underway behind the scenes to help ensure construction proceeds safely and efficiently.

Construction remains on schedule, with completion anticipated by late summer 2027, weather and unforeseen conditions permitting.
