The US Open earned the top spot following public voting that ran through May 31. The recognition comes on the heels of the tournament’s 10th anniversary, held April 11-18, 2026, in Naples, Florida. This year’s event drew more than 60,000 spectators, welcomed players from all 50 states and 53 countries, and featured more than 6000 matches.
“We are incredibly honored that USA TODAY readers voted the US Open Pickleball Championships the No. 1 Best Pickleball Tournament for Fans,” said Ben Weinberger, US Open president and tournament director. “This recognition means a great deal to our team, especially following our 10th anniversary event. We are grateful to everyone who voted and to the players, fans, sponsors, volunteers and partners who continue to make the US Open such a special experience.”
Held annually at the USOP National Pickleball Center in Naples, The Open brings together amateur players, professional athletes, families, fans and brands for a week of pickleball competition and fan-focused events.
Since its launch, the US Open is the sport’s premier event and a major annual gathering for the pickleball community. The tournament continues to showcase the growth of pickleball while bringing players and fans from across the United States and around the world to Naples, Florida.
“The fan experience has always been at the center of the US Open,” Weinberger said. “From the competition on court to the energy throughout the venue, our goal is to create an event that players and spectators look forward to year after year. This recognition is a reflection of that commitment.”
