The Lee Building Industry Association (Lee BIA) held its 10th annual Bricks & Sticks Fishing Tournament the weekend of May 12-13 at Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral. Proceeds will benefit Lee BIA organization operations, as well as provide emergency construction services to elderly and disabled community members in need through the Lee BIA’s nonprofit charitable arm, Builders Care.
Through the tournament live auction the Lee BIA raised $12,500 for Lee BIA Builders Care. The tournament saw 241 registered anglers on 70 boats raffles competing for cash prizes. The first place prize of $5,000 was awarded to Team Better Buildings (Eric Carstensen, Mike Carstensen, Miles Meredith, and Kristin Carstensen), the second place prize of $3000 was awarded to Team Renegade (Dillon Massie, Brian Harris, Lisa Harris, and Keith McMenemy) and the third place prize of $2000 was awarded to Team Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings (Brian Lynch, Mark Wiles, Jeff Palmer, Darin McMurray).
