Southwest Florida’s hands-on AI Expo coming to FGCU on Nov. 2

10/01/2026
Live demos. Real workshops. No slide decks. AI Day brings industry professionals, students, faculty, and community members together for a full day of applied AI. Four spaces run at the same time, all day:
  • Industry Expo: tabling and live demos from vendors and solution providers across the region, open from 9:00 to 3:00
  • Presentation Theater: rotating 10-minute presentations on a hard clock
  • Interactive Workshops: small-group, hands-on sessions on AI in education, HR, business, and beyond
  • H{AI}ckathon and Student Innovation Zone: live team challenges, student posters, and demos
At 12:30, the keynote and panel begin and are live-streamed onto the Expo floor, so nothing closes for the main stage. Walk the floor, sit in on a workshop, or do both.
When: Monday, November 2 · 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Cohen Student Union, Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers
Cost: General admission: $19 · FGCU students, faculty, and staff: free with registration
Who should attend: anyone working in healthcare, education, construction, hospitality, nonprofits, or technology who wants to see what AI actually does in practice rather than hear about it in the abstract. Job seekers are welcome, as many exhibitors use their tables for recruiting.
