Tickets are now on sale for the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership (RTP) Seventh Annual Awards Gala, sponsored by Chico’s FAS, Adecco and Zuora. The event is March 25 at Pelican Preserve Clubhouse, 9802 Pelican Preserve Blvd., Fort Myers. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for networking. Tickets for the awards dinner cost $75 and may be purchased online at swfrtp.org. The event will showcase four awards in the categories of Transformation, Innovention, Partnership and Women in Technology. Award finalists will be announced later this month.
The featured keynote speaker for the Technology Awards Gala is David Trimm, who was most recently CIO at Estero-based Hertz Corp., where he was responsible for information technology and business systems globally. Trimm joined Hertz in 2001 having previously worked for Hilton International as Global Systems Development director, and having held management positions within Coca Cola, Clarks Shoes and a brief period with his own company. He worked in various positions at Hertz, including VP Business Systems for Hertz Europe Ltd, Business Systems Director for Hertz Lease Europe, and VP for Rent-a-Car IT Systems where he had responsibility for global applications including hertz.com. He also held the position of Senior VP Business Transformation Projects, which included the global redesign of the Hertz brand. Based in Naples, he is a graduate of Imperial College, London, with a Master’s degree in engineering, and is an associate of the City of Guilds of London Institute.
RTP was chartered in 2008 as a nonprofit 501(c)6 membership organization. It is the only technology-cluster interest group in Southwest Florida and is comprised of technology companies and technology users, economic development groups and higher education institutions. RTP promotes the expansion of our regional technology sector through seminars, forums and educational programs and represents the interests of the regional technology sector before federal, state and local government agencies.
