FPRA’s annual Nonprofit Day is an opportunity for Southwest Florida’s philanthropic organizations – and those interested in learning more about SWFL’s charity landscape – can gather to learn from local industry experts on topics to enhance your community reach and impact.

This year’s theme, “Cheering for the Home Team,” will focus on providing attendees usable information on how to build effective strategic alliances for a common goal. Attendees will head back to the office with case studies, takeaways and practical tips on how collaboration and non-monetary resources can be used to improve non-profit PR functions for organizations while positively impacting the Southwest Florida community we all call home.

Nonprofit Day will include dynamic speakers, a panel featuring examples of some of Southwest Florida’s most successful nonprofit collaborations, and a unique targeted networking opportunity to pair PR professionals with others who share the same goals for their organizations. Speakers include: Ernest Hooper with the East Hillsborough bureau chief and columnist at the Tampa Bay Times, Captain Debbie Hanson an award-winning outdoor writer (Florida Outdoor Writers Association & Outdoor Writers Association of America), women’s sport fishing advocate, and freshwater guide living in Estero and Steve McQuilkin a storytelling coach and the Southwest Florida regional editor for environment and business news for the News-Press and Naples Daily News.
