Technology Training Grants Workshop at The Hatchery in Babcock Ranch

In conjunction with a Technology Skills Gap Survey being conducted by the Southwest Florida Regional Technical Partnership (SWFRTP), CareerSource Southwest Florida (CSSWF) invites business representatives to attend an informational event on how to obtain cost assisted technology certifications for their workers. CareerSource will utilize the information from the survey to help businesses identify the certifications they may qualify to receive. CSSWF also has programs available for individuals and the event program will address how they can qualify to participate. CSSWF was awarded a grant to provide funding for technology skills upgrading and certification and exam fees. Early survey results indicate a high need for Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, Amazon Web Services, PMP and Apple certifications. Grant funds are available for training in more than 100 online technology classes. The workshop will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Hatchery, 42850 Crescent Loop, Babcock Ranch, Fla., 33982. Area businesses wanting to participate in this program should complete the Technology Skills Gap Survey prior to attending the event. The Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership (RTP) was chartered in 2008 and is the only group dedicated solely to the growth of the technology cluster in southwest Florida.
