Spiro appointed to UF Fan Advisory Council

Christopher T. Spiro, CEO and chief creative officer of Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations and Brand Architecture, has been appointed to the University of Florida Fan Advisory Council for the 2018-19 season.

The council assists the university’s athletic association in the evaluation and enhancement of the fan experience at football games, while representing broader interests of the Gator Nation. Meeting with administrators and staff three times annually, council members provide suggestions concerning the overall game-day experience.

Comprised of 12 to 15 season-ticket holders, council members represent a cross section of fans and serve one to two athletic years.

As an alumnus, Spiro has supported many university efforts and is very active in the local alumni association, known as the Southwest Florida Gator Club. As a member, he served six years as the Director of Public Relations and attended multiple University of Florida Alumni Association Leaders’ weekend. A big proponent of giving back, Spiro created the single largest fundraising event, Tour De Chomp, benefitting the Southwest Florida Gator Club Scholarship Program.

“Anyone who knows me is aware of my affinity for The Gator Nation.” said Spiro. “For many years, I have had the most memorable times attending the games with my family and friends. I hope to provide input that will allow others to have an even better overall fan experience.”
