Stewart promoted to Goodwill COO

Doug Stewart was recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, an affiliation that spans nearly six years, including his most recent role as Vice President of Finance.

In this senior executive management role, Stewart is responsible for leadership and direction of all core business operations, finance, accounting, information technology, business services, corporate risk management/insurance, real estate and other key functions of the non-profit organization. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida serves five counties in southwest Florida, employs more than 700 individuals, and operates 27 retail stores, to support its mission of helping people with disabilities or disadvantages become more independent.

Prior to his tenure with Goodwill Industries, Stewart held numerous positions, including business owner and franchise partner of a national services organization, as well as director of financial planning, vice president of strategic development, president, COO, vice president of finance and chief financial officer for various organizations in the manufacturing, retail, financial services, real estate and high net worth family management industries. Stewart began his career with a former Big Six accounting firm in Washington, DC.

Collectively, Stewart has more than 30 years of diverse industry experience. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.
