Women’s Foundation announces new board members

The Women’s Foundation of Collier County announced the addition of three new members to the Board of Directors. Anne Fleming, Kate McGinnis and Sharon Treiser joined the Board for a three-year term on July 1.
The Women’s Foundation of Collier County is a field-of-interest fund at the Community Foundation of Collier County whose mission is to serve the current and changing needs of women and girls in this community.
The Foundation’s goal is to identify and bring awareness to issues facing at-risk local women and girls. Because they are committed to issues in Collier County, the money raised here by the Women’s Foundation, stays here. The Foundation grants funds to local nonprofit organizations whose programs address the basic and long-term needs of children, teens, mothers and senior women and has granted over $500,000 in the past 5 years.
Women’s Foundation Board Chair Jackie Pierce said, “In serving the current and changing needs of women and girls in Collier County through grantmaking, the professional expertise and community leadership of Anne Fleming, Kate McGinnis and Sharon Treiser will enhance the promotion of the mission, goals, events and activities sponsored by the WFCC Board of Directors.”
