The Bike Bistro names Sultan of Service
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Tre Starr is the new Sultan of Service at The Bike Bistro, a specialty bike shop and coffee bar on Summerlin Road near the Sanibel Causeway.
A native of Berkeley, Calif., Starr is a graduate of Barnett Bicycle Institute in Colorado and a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. A resident of Fort Myers, Starr bikes to work every day.
“We’re thrilled Tre is joining our team because of his skills as a mechanic and his super-friendly attitude helping pros and beginners alike,” says Steve Martin, owner of The Bike Bistro.
The Bike Bistro is a popular destination for cycling enthusiasts who enjoy relaxing with a cup of coffee and healthy snacks before or after they ride. Riders can lounge in comfortable chairs, socialize with other cyclists and log onto the internet using the shop’s free WiFi. The shop has been renting and selling custom-fitted bikes, gear and apparel since 2012.
“I love helping people with their fitness goals and I’m dedicated to creating a pain-free riding experience for all our clients,” says Starr, who has been racing bikes for more than a decade.
Starr has been a bike rider since he can remember. As a baby in Berkeley, his parents loaded him in a carrier everywhere they went. As a youngster, Starr repaired his own bikes and that led him to becoming a professional mechanic to keep up with the ever-changing technology. “I’m always trying to gain knowledge,” he says.
