Sarasota Bank Office Welcomes New Managers

Sarasota, Fla., Dec. 25, 2020 — Imelda Hart and Cecilia Contreras-Carrillo, who have extensive banking experience in the Sarasota area, are the new Retail Banking Officer and Retail Operations Manager, respectively, of the Crews Bank & Trust Sarasota office. Hart, who was also named a bank vice president, is responsible for the overall management of the branch office, while Contreras-Carrillo supports the overall operations of the branch.
“I’m confident that Imelda, with Cecilia’s assistance, will help us grow our Sarasota operations,” said Crews Bank & Trust Vice President of Retail Banking Christine Davis. “They will work together with staff to ensure our customers continue receiving the personal care and service they deserve and have come to expect.”
Hart and Contreras-Carrillo are both bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. Hart brings more than two decades of banking experience to Crews Bank & Trust, starting from the time she graduated high school. She has served as a vice president, assistant vice president, branch manager, lead teller, personal banker, accounting assistant, and residential loan officer for financial institutions in and around Sarasota.
Born in Texas, Hart has lived in Florida since she was three months old and considers herself a native Floridian. The eldest of seven children, she supports the annual Palmetto Rotary Children’s Christmas Party and volunteers with Our Daily Bread, a soup kitchen and food pantry for individuals and families in need. She enjoys running, traveling, and horseback riding.
Cecilia Contreras-Carrillo, a native of Mexico, moved to Florida 11 years ago. She has over eight years of retail banking experience in the Sarasota area, most recently having worked as a customer service representative. She spent 15 years as a consultant and international division assistant manager for Industrias Marino S.A. de C.V., a coffee and tea manufacturer in Mazatlán, Mexico.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in international trade and business administration from the National Polytechnic Institute and an English Literacy Certificate from the Manatee Technical Institute in 2010. She was a member of the institute’s Adult Education Honor Society.
Contreras-Carrillo is a member of the Gleaner Gulf Coast Arbor, a charitable organization that sponsors community programs and projects throughout the year, ranging from cleaning up local parks to providing lunches for the homeless. She has a 19-year-old son who is attending the University of South Florida and a 14-year-old daughter who is a Lakewood Ranch High School student.
