Estero Realtor Forecasts Fivefold Increase in Sales

ESTERO, Fla. (March 15, 2021) — Realtor Kevin Bartlett is on track to sell $100 million of real estate this year, five times more than he did last year as thousands of people and businesses flock to Southwest Florida.

“We use sophisticated digital tools to gauge demand and we’ve detected an astounding 100% increase in interest from people wanting to move to Southwest Florida,” says Bartlett.

Already, Bartlett has more than $16 million worth of real estate under contract for sale in the first two months of 2021, an indication he could surpass $100 million in sales this year because of the surge in demand for residential and commercial real estate across Southwest Florida. In 2020, Bartlett sold more than $20 million worth of real estate throughout the region, earning more than 100 five-star reviews on the Redfin real estate network.

“Booming demand and low inventory of available homes for sale have stoked residential property values by 10% to 20% in the first months of this year alone,” says Bartlett, a native of Estero and graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. He currently is broker associate at Realty World J. Pavich Real Estate.

New construction is unlikely to alleviate the inventory squeeze, says Bartlett. “The costs of commodities are rising fast and that could translate to lower housing starts and higher prices for new homes,” he warns.

Because of the current market conditions, Bartlett counsels homebuyers to have financing lined up so they can move fast when they find their dream home. “Being prepared is the key to making a successful bid for a home in this market,” he says.
