Langner named ABWA Imperial River’s Woman of the Year

Estero, FL – The Imperial River Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) has named Gail Langner of Estero, FL as their 2022 Woman of the Year.
 
Each year, ABWA chapters across the country select members to honor for their outstanding service to the organization and to the community. Langner, who is Agency Relations Manager and Agency Manager at State Insurance USA in Estero, was selected by chapter member vote.  Other nominees included Amber Braatz, a wealth advisor at Finley Wealth Advisors in Estero, who serves as the chapter’s membership chair, and Rose Byrne, owner of Silver Paws, a pet-sitting service specializing in senior animals, who serves the chapter on the hospitality and fundraising committees.
 
Langner has spent her professional life in sales, marketing, television, and public relations. Born and raised in Michigan, she has lived in Pennsylvania, Sarasota, and Minnesota, before settling in Estero.  She has served on the board as the Imperial River Chapter’s secretary and is currently chair of the programs committee, arranging venues and speakers for the chapter’s personal and professional development events. She also serves on the Chapter’s fundraising committee, helping to support chapter members achieve their professional development goals.  
 
Outside of ABWA, Langner supports her community through her active involvement with a multitude of organizations. These include past and present roles at Estero Historical Society (Board President), Estero Chamber of Commerce (After Hours Chair, Annual Luncheon Committee), Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce (Ambassador, Board of Directors, Executive Board), and committee work with both Bonita Springs-Estero Realtors, and Women’s Council of Realtors Bonita Springs-Estero.
 
Langner is eligible to compete for the title of ABWA Southwest Florida Council Woman of the Year, which will be awarded at a special event scheduled to take place at DeRomo’s Restaurant in Bonita Springs on September 24, 2022.
 
ABWA brings together business women of diverse occupations and provides opportunities for them to help themselves and others to grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.
