Nomination deadline announced for hospitality service awards

The 25th Annual Elaine McLaughlin Outstanding Hospitality Service Awards, or the E Awards, will take place this year on Aug. 22 at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center.

Organizers announced all nominations must be submitted by July 11. Nominations may be made at EAwards.com.

Nomination criteria includes:

• Service satisfaction – going the “extra mile”.
• Leadership work ethic – willingness to help; attitude; problem-solving.
• Job knowledge – how their performance skills and creativity affected their service.
• Fort Myers – Island, Beaches and Neighborhoods awareness – familiarity with and promotion of Lee County.
• Compassion – helping during a crisis or emergency without expecting or needing thanks just because you care.

The event will also honor the Best Tourism Boss, and nominations are being accepted for that recognition as well.

Nominations can be submitted by guests, supervisors or colleagues. However, self-nominations are not accepted.

The awards event this year follows a circus theme, “Hospitality: The Greatest Show on Earth,” and will celebration 25 years of the E Awards.
