Hurricane Preparedness in the Construction Industry

Manhattan Construction Company, a nationally recognized builder with deep roots in Southwest Florida, is excited to announce it will host an educational workshop focused on hurricane preparedness in the construction industry on Friday, Aug. 15, at the Crowne Plaza Ft. Myers Gulf Coast, 9931 Interstate Commerce Drive in Fort Myers. The free event, which is hosted in partnership with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) begins at 11:30 a.m.
Held during National Safe + Sound Week, the event will prepare construction professionals, contractors and trade partners with practical strategies to prepare for and respond to severe weather events, such as hurricanes or flooding, that could impact job sites and communities.

Attendees will hear from experts at OSHA, the National Weather Service and local television meteorologists. The event includes a catered lunch, individual presentations from experts, a moderate panel discussion and Q&A.
All attendees will receive an OSHA Safe & Sound Week certificate of participation.
