CROW elects four new borad members

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) has elected four new members to its board of directors and re-elected three current members in March, bringing a diverse range of experience in nonprofit finance, business leadership, communications and medicine to support its mission of wildlife rehabilitation, conservation and education.

New board members are Barb Lasky, who serves as treasurer; Fran Peters; Matthew Pierce; and Matthew Zwack. Re-elected to the CROW board are Fred Weinman, Fred Ryckman and Jason Maughan.

“These board members bring valuable expertise and a shared commitment to wildlife conservation,” says Alison Charney Hussey, Executive Director of CROW. “Their leadership helps advance CROW’s mission and strengthens its impact on our local wildlife. We are excited to welcome our new board members and grateful to those continuing their service.”

The 2026 board held its first strategy session with the new members in April at ’Tween Waters Inn & Marina on Captiva.

“CROW’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and return sick and injured wildlife to their natural habitat is vital to the health and character of our Southwest Florida community,” Zwack says. “Having seen firsthand the impact CROW has on both animals and people, I’m honored to support an organization that pairs state-of-the-art veterinary care with meaningful community education.”
