Immokalee Foundation announces Ruth Rios as Chief Advancement Officer

The Immokalee Foundation is proud to welcome Ruth Rios, as its new Chief Advancement Officer. In this role, she will lead the organization’s comprehensive advancement strategy, including major and principal gift development, donor engagement, and long-term philanthropic growth.Rios brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit development and advancement leadership, with a proven track record of building meaningful relationships and driving growth across education-and child-focused organizations.
She began her career advocating for children and families in the child welfare system, work deeply shaped by her own lived experience. Having spent eight years in foster care, Rios understands firsthand the transformative power of education, mentorship, and consistent support in creating pathways to opportunity and economic mobility.
Before joining The Immokalee Foundation, Rios founded Generosity Strategies, a consulting firm that helps nonprofit organizations strengthen fundraising strategies, build sustainable revenue models, and deepen donor engagement. In this role, she advised organizations on campaign design, major gift strategy, and development operations, positioning them for long-term success.
Rios currently serves as a board member of Florida Foster Care Review and earned her MBA from Florida International University.
