John McKinnon, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Southwest Florida Chapter, South Florida Region, will also be in attendance on Friday.

The Fort Myers Beach Jersey Mike’s is currently hosting a fundraiser benefiting the American Red Cross NOW through August 12.

From Wednesday, July 22, through Friday, July 24, American Red Cross representatives will be at the restaurant sharing important hurricane-preparedness information and educating guests about the many ways the organization supports individuals and families throughout Lee and Collier counties.

“Our goal is for this location to become an important part of the Fort Myers Beach community, not only as a welcoming place to enjoy a delicious meal, but also as a business known for its generosity, community involvement and philanthropic efforts,” said owners Tracy Groenendaal and Ron Soriano.

The owners also proudly work alongside organizations including St. Matthew’s House and DLC to support individuals and families throughout the community.

“Jersey Mike’s is about much more than serving a delicious sub,” Groenendaal said. “We believe in leading with compassion, investing in people and doing God’s work, one sub at a time.”
