Angelina’s Ristorante honored with Best of Award of Excellence for its wine program

Angelina’s Ristorante has been honored with the Best of Award of Excellence for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2025 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the world’s best restaurants for wine.

The Best of Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.

“A wine list is a restaurant’s identity in print, and this year’s Wine Spectator Restaurant Award winners reflect both deep knowledge and a passion for discovery,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “I proudly present the 3,811 restaurants worldwide that earned a Restaurant Award this year—we raise a glass to all our winners.”

“It is one of the highest honors to receive Wine Spectator’s 2025 Best of Award of Excellence, a recognition emphasizing our dedicated commitment to offering an outstanding wine selection. This award showcases our commitment to providing guests with a premier dining experience, enhanced by our custom-curated wine list, which features the finest selections from all over the world,” said Nick Kattman, Wine Director and Sommelier at Angelina’s Ristorante.

This marks the 14th consecutive year Angelina’s Ristorante has received the Best of Award of Excellence. For three straight years before that, they earned the Award of Excellence. This year marks 17 years of recognition by Wine Spectator for the restaurant’s exceptional sommelier-curated wine program.

Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service. They are assigned on three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence, and the Grand Award, with 2,010, 1,704, and 97 winners this year in each respective category.
