Attorneys Christopher J. Smith and Eve T.K. Volkmann named to Florida ‘Super Lawyers’ lists
Fort Myers attorneys Christopher J. Smith and Eve T.K. Volkmann, partners at Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice, Purtz, Smith & Smith, have each been named to prestigious 2025 lists for lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Smith was named to the Florida Super Lawyers list. Each year, the research team at Super Lawyers selects no more than 2.5% of lawyers in Florida for this honor. Super Lawyers is a rating service for outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
Smith joined the firm in 2007, became a partner in 2011 and a managing partner in 2018. He is a graduate of John Carroll University and St. Thomas University School of Law.
Smith is a board-certified civil trial lawyer. His practice areas focus on personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, and slip, trip or falls cases.
Volkmann was named to the Florida Super Lawyers – Rising Stars list. This honor is given to those meeting similar requirements as the Super Lawyers recipients with the exception being that honorees must be under age 40 and have practiced law for less than 10 years.
Volkmann joined the firm in 2019 after distinguishing herself in law school, ranking fourth in her class at Ave Maria School of Law.
She emphasizes her practice on personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents and slip, trip or falls cases.
