Baker Senior Center Naples promotes Luizzi to Chief Program Officer
Baker Senior Center Naples, a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive programs and social services to support older adults and their families, today announced the promotion of Marisa Luizzi, CDP, as its Chief Program Officer.
In this newly created position, Luizzi will be responsible for overseeing the development and operations of traditional senior center programs, which include a wide range of stimulating and inclusive programs. She will continue to oversee the Brookdale Cognitive Health Services, which offers structured groups to help those with early memory loss as well as mild to moderate stage dementia. It also offers support and respite for caregivers.
“We are excited to see Marisa move into this expanded leadership role,” said Dr. Jaclynn Faffer, President/CEO of Baker Senior Center Naples. “Her experience in working with older adults, especially those with cognitive issues such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia make her ideal for this position, plus she has solid relationships across the community.”
Luizzi has more than 12 years of experience with a background of implementing individualized and group music programming and activities to support older adults. Prior to this promotion, she served as Chief Cognitive Health Officer in which she oversaw the entire Cognitive Health Program for Baker Senior Center Naples, including Dementia Respite, Caregiver Training and Support, and Music Therapy. Luizzi also previously served as Manager of Dementia Respite Activities and as a Music Therapist.
