Baker Senior Center Naples welcomes Pomeranz to its Board of Trustees
Baker Senior Center Naples, a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive programs and social services for older adults and their families, announced it has further broadened its experienced leadership with the recent addition of Penny Kereiakes Pomeranz to its Board of Trustees. Pomeranz is an award-winning leader as the co-founder of ProScan Imaging and the Cris Collinsworth ProScan Fund.
“Penny brings valuable non-profit leadership skills and extensive experience in business development, communications and strategy to our Board,” said Dr. Jaclynn Faffer, President/CEO of Baker Senior Center Naples. “Her unique perspective will ensure that Baker Senior Center remains the leading advocate for older adults in our community.”
Pomeranz co-founded ProScan Imaging with her husband Dr. Stephen J. Pomeranz in 1995. Today, it is recognized as one of the world’s leading training centers for healthcare specialists in MRI and other advanced imaging modalities. She also co-founded the Cris Collinsworth ProScan Fund, which seeks to enhance the lives of all women by promoting breast cancer awareness and education and offering support to breast cancer patients.
Originally from Cincinnati, Pomeranz received the AJC 2022 National Human Relations Award and the Visiting Nurses Association Award in 2013 and was honored among the Cincinnati Enquirer Women of the Year (2003). She also was a recipient of an Ohio Senate Commendation for Outstanding Community Achievement in Greater Cincinnati.
Pomeranz is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She earned her Master’s in Education from nearby Xavier University.
