Better Together CEO Megan Rose to speak at The Policy Circle’s national Leadership Summit Nov. 15-17 in Tampa

Better Together CEO Megan Rose will be a guest speaker at The Policy Circle’s seventh annual Leadership Summit, a national summit to be held Nov. 15-17 in Tampa.

This year’s summit will highlight the theme “Focus on the Future – Unleashing the Promise of Each Generation,” and will include interactive programs with national experts, policymakers and local changemakers that focus on ensuring economic prosperity and abundant health for every generation.

The second day of the summit will feature Rose as part of a panel discussion titled “Foster Change – Tackling Foster Care at the Local Level for Lasting Impact.” The session will begin at 3:25 p.m., and attendees will also hear from Charles Bender, founding CEO of Place of Hope and Darcy Olsen, founder and CEO of the Center for the Rights of Abused Children.

“I am honored to be invited to speak on such a powerful topic like the foster care crisis in Florida,” said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. “With more than 20,000 calls to the abuse hotline every month, the system is overwhelmed and our children still need help. This summit will help open the door for these difficult conversations and in turn, will ignite change and create awareness.”

The Policy Circle is a nonprofit that offers a variety of programs to provide women the tools to become more impactful leaders and discover innovative solutions to challenges in their communities.

The public can attend the summit for free online, and individuals interested in attending in person can register at Events.Hubilo.com/7th-Annual-Leadership-Summit/Register.

ABOUT BETTER TOGETHER
Better Together is a nonprofit organization that helps parents going through a hard time keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. A privately funded and professionally supported organization, Better Together is made up of volunteers who believe helping people help themselves is the best way to restore dignity and bring families together. Through the Better Families program, families are offered a preventive alternative to foster care while they get the help they need. To date, the program has kept 98% of children served out of foster care. The Better Jobs program was created to address the 76% of families that come to Better Together because of economic hardship tied to unemployment. In addition to community job fairs, the program offers job seekers coaching, guidance, support and encouragement through local church partners. For more information, visit BetterTogetherUS.org.
