B&I Contractors plays key role in RSW terminal expansion

B&I Contractors, Inc., is honored to play a key role in the ongoing expansion of Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). The RSW Phase 2 terminal expansion project adds a new Concourse E accompanied by a terminal expansion that is approximately 513,000 square feet and includes 14 gates, 9 security checkpoints, and baggage claim areas.

B&I’s scope of work for Phase 2 includes plumbing and mechanical throughout the building, 7 mechanical rooms, and an overhaul of the CEP. The CEP overhaul consists of new cooling towers, chillers, and pumps.

Phase 1 of the expansion includes remodeling 164,000 square feet of existing space and adding 117,000 square feet of new walkways and concessions. B&I’s scope includes plumbing and mechanical throughout the building, and includes 8 mechanical rooms, with some being renovated and some new.
