Blue Named Director of Nursing for Cypress at Home

 

(Fort Myers, FL – March 1, 2021) – Ms. Jennifer Blue has been appointed Director of Nursing for Home Health and Home Care by Cypress at Home, the HealthPark Florida-based in-home care business in Southwest Florida providing innovative services and solutions that support aging in place for older adults.

Blue, who until her recent appointment, served for the past 10 years as Director of Nursing in the Neuroscience PCU at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers. She brings to her new role multiple years of experience in clinical practice and hospital management.

Blue will preside as Director of Nursing over both Home Health and Home Care by Cypress at Home, each unique in the services provided not only within the Life Plan community of Cypress Cove, but within the greater Southwest Florida region.

A graduate of both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degree at Nova Southeastern University, Blue has served also as an oncology clinical supervisor at Southwest Regional Medical Center/Gulf Coast Medical Center and as an Adjunct Professor with Nova Southwestern University in Fort Lauderdale.

In her previous position, she served as Stroke Program Coordinator and in leadership roles for several key healthcare support and service areas. In her new role, she will be responsible for ensuring there is compliance with rigorous Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) standards in the recruitment, training, coaching, and mentoring of all staff members, including Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Home Health aides.
