Bonita Springs Utilities Inc. recognized as a 2025 Utility of the Future Today
Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc. has been named a 2025 Utility of the Future Today by the Water Environment Federation and its national partners for its commitment to collaborating with members, community leaders and other utilities through dialogue, education and partnerships to support community well-being. BSU is one of 40 water utilities in the entire nation recognized.
BSU was honored for its continued efforts of engaging the community to promote water reuse, environmental education and public trust. BSU has partnered with Florida Gulf Coast University, various homeowner associations, municipal partners and regional groups to organize educational tours and outreach events.
“We are honored to receive this prestigious designation,” said Andy Koebel, executive director of Bonita Springs Utilities. “We are incredibly proud of our team for their leadership and commitment to deliver safe and reliable water and wastewater services to our members.”
The Utility of the Future Today Recognition Program is a partnership between the Water Environment Federation, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, The Water Research Foundation and the WateReuse Association. It honors forward-thinking utilities across the nation that are redefining the way communities manage water. The program recognizes organizations that prioritize innovation, resource recovery and community engagement.
