Cameratta Companies celebrates groundbreaking of Estero’s Kingston community
Cameratta Companies celebrated a construction milestone in the development of its newest community, Kingston, with a groundbreaking event that included company executives, elected officials, project partners and community leaders.
The Nov. 13 groundbreaking came as site work transitions to construction, and comes years after Cameratta Companies proposed initial development plans.
Kingston is one of the largest master-planned developments ever conceived in Southwest Florida, spanning almost 7,000 acres. Over 3,300 acres of the property will be restored into wildlife habitat and designated as preserves. With sustainability at its core, Kingston is a conservation restoration project that will transform distressed, overgrown farmland into a unique community, blending environmental preserves with residential neighborhoods and commercial amenities.
At build out, Kingston will feature approximately 10,000 residences, including single-family homes, condominiums and villas. The community also will include approximately 700,000 square feet of commercial space along with an extensive array of lifestyle amenities.
“We’re proud to work alongside local officials and partner with the best homebuilders to bring our novel vision for Kingston to life,” said Joe Cameratta, founder of Cameratta Companies.
Premier builders in Kingston include Lennar Homes, Neal Communities, Pulte Homes, Taylor Morrison and Kolter Homes. Construction on model homes begins in spring 2026, with the first models set for completion in late 2026.
“Pulte Homes is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with Cameratta Companies in shaping vibrant communities along Corkscrew Road. Kingston will elevate this tradition, introducing a dynamic lifestyle experience that sets a new benchmark. Pulte’s consumer-inspired home designs deliver exceptional quality in every square foot and offer flexible personalization, empowering homeowners to create spaces that truly reflect how people live,” said Josh Graeve, president of PulteGroup’s Southwest Florida Division.
Neal Communities, Southwest Florida’s premier, private homebuilder, will offer paired villas and single-family homes from its Cruise, Celebration, Cove and Coastal series available to build, including two villa floor plans and 22 single family options. Villas will range from 1,433 to 1,530 square feet of living space, while single family homes will range from 1,682 to 4,443 square feet, offering both one- and two-story floor plans. Neal Communities plans to build six model homes, including two villas and four single family offerings.
Taylor Morrison plans to expand its successful resort lifestyle brand Esplanade at Kingston. “Since launching Esplanade in Florida 13 years ago, we’ve developed a first-of-its kind, hospitality-driven residential resort experience that has greatly resonated with our Naples market,” said Cammie Longenecker, Taylor Morrison’s president of Resort Lifestyle Brand.
Cameratta Companies is the developer behind four existing premier communities in Estero: Verdana Village, The Place at Corkscrew, Corkscrew Shores and The Preserve at Corkscrew. It also developed High Point Place in Fort Myers. “We have found that our residents and their families have become repeat purchasers in our communities and there has already been a tremendous amount of interest in Kingston,” boasts Nick Cameratta.
“We’re thrilled to once again partner with Cameratta Companies following the success of The Place at Corkscrew, The Preserve at Corkscrew and Verdana Village,” said David Meyers, division manager for Lennar Southwest Florida. “Kingston builds on that success with the lifestyle and amenities Cameratta is known for, coupled with Lennar’s Everything’s Included® approach—bringing incredible value and modern living to Estero.”
