Christine Burns appointed Executive Director of Cypress at Home

Christine Burns has been appointed Executive Director of Cypress at Home, a leading provider of home and community-based services serving older adults in Southwest Florida.

In her new role, Burns will be responsible for the overall leadership of the organization’s Home Health, Home Care, Care Management, and Medical Care operations. “We are ecstatic to have Christine join our expanding company that is focused on changing the way care is provided to older adults here in SWFL,” said Cypress Living CEO and President Troy Churchill. “She is a passionate, servant leader who will be focused on managing the growth and enhancing the quality of our innovative services and solutions that allow older adults to thrive in their homes.”

Prior to accepting her new position, Burns worked in the healthcare arena for 20 years. She has served in various leadership positions within Lee Health, most recently as the director of Post-Acute Intake & Business Development. She served on various Home Health committees and workgroups.

Cypress at Home has seen a precipitous growth in the past year within its suite of services including Aging Life Care Professionals® that are nationally certified and credentialed with the Aging Life Care Association who provide professional care coordination, Care Management by Cypress at Home; its Home Care by Cypress at Home which provides non-Medicare, private duty home care support; its Medical Care by Cypress at Home which is a team made up of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who are supported by Medical Assistants and led by a Medical Director who provide facility, in-home and virtual based care; and Home Health by Cypress at Home which provides Medicare reimbursable, short-term skilled services including nursing and therapy care.

A graduate of a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration, she is currently completing her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University. The Cape Coral resident also serves as an officer of the District XVI Florida Healthcare Association and as a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
