Collier Building Industry Foundation scholarship applications now available

Naples, Fla. (March 30, 2021)– The Collier Building Industry Foundation (CBIF) today announced the 2021 scholarship application is now available online at http://www.cbia.net/wp-content/uploads/2021-CBIF-Scholarship-Application-Final.pdf.

Applicants may also contact the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) office at (239) 436-6100 to receive an application via email or U.S. Mail. Completed applications are due to the CBIA by 5 p.m. May 3, 2021 at 3200 Bailey Lane, Suite 110, Naples FL  34105.

“To date, CBIF has proudly provided over $80,000 in scholarships to deserving local students seeking careers in building and construction-related industries,” said Vasquez. “We are extremely grateful for the support of our member organizations.”

According to CBIA Executive Officer Amelia Vasquez, any graduating high school student or student currently in college pursuing studies in construction or construction-related careers including architecture, engineering, interior design, surveying or specialty contracting (air conditioning, electrical, masonry, plumbing, etc.) and residing in Collier County, may apply. 

Applicants should be students in good standing and recommended by their teachers or returning students with a strong interest in the construction industry and /or related trades who desire to pursue higher education opportunities. 

CBIF also provides a $1,000 grant to any education institution or not-for-profit organization providing experiential learning activities and hands-on activities in construction-related fields to students. To be considered for this grant or learn more about the criteria, visit www.cbia.net/about/cbif/ to complete and submit the grant application

CBIF’s second annual clay shoot tournament, “Locked and Ready to Rock,” raised more than $20,000 to support student scholarships. The sold-out event was held Friday, Feb. 19.
