Collier County Businesses are Reminded to Reset Sales Tax Rates to 6%

Collier County, FL –  Clerk Crystal K. Kinzel reminds Collier County businesses to review and update sales tax rates in automated terminals in accordance with guidelines issued by the Florida Department of Revenue.

The Clerk’s Office of Inspector General has received multiple complaints of businesses overcharging sales tax during the past month. It is important to note that administration, collections, and enforcement of discretionary sales surtaxes falls under the Florida Department of Revenue.
