Bonita Springs, Fla. (September 29, 2020) — Collins DuPont Design Group was recently recognized with one Grand Aurora and three Silver Aurora awards from the Florida Home Builders Association. The company earned a Grand Aurora award and two Silver Aurora awards for its Corsini Lane project in Mediterra, and one Silver Aurora award for its Ridgeway project in Pine Ridge Estates.

The Aurora Awards are presented annually to outstanding builders, planners, architects, developers, designers, interior merchandisers and other housing-related professionals. Residential and commercial construction professionals actively involved in projects located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and the Eastern Caribbean are eligible to participate.

The Corsini Lane project received the Grand Aurora Award for Best Bath Design of a Custom/Spec/One-of-a-Kind Home, as well as Silver Aurora Awards for Best Interior Design of a Custom Home priced over $2,000,000, and Best Kitchen Design of a Custom/Spec/One-of-a-Kind Home. This custom home’s interior design scheme complements its composition: focuses on the homeowners’ growing family, with rooms designed to be comfortable, yet accommodating for large gatherings. Though the millwork is traditional, the finishes are contemporary and glitzy. Furnishings and fabrics coordinate flawlessly with the warm floors and intricate ceilings. Soft neutral hues blend with sheer fabrics, silvery accents, statement chandeliers, custom seating and natural light to add relaxed sophistication.

Complete with two oversized islands with sinks, abundant countertop space and a custom stone top breakfast table, the kitchen is ideal for entertaining. The cooktop wall is designed to be aesthetically pleasing yet practical. Chandeliers in antique silver leaf hang above the Old Biscayne Designs dining table, which seats twelve. Behind the formal dining area, the bar has wood-carved detailing that mirrors the family’s entertainment center. Highlighted by intricate ceiling designs and delicate trim work, expansive windows allow abundant natural light throughout.

The peaceful master suite features a sitting area and bay window overlooking the outdoor living area. In the master bath, an outdoor shower was originally designed as a “Zen garden” and is hidden from neighbors by lush native landscaping and a custom pergola. Calacatta polished marble from Ruben Sorhegul Tile is breathtakingly positioned alongside three inlaid “stone carpets.” Behind the dual vanity mirrors are hidden televisions, perfect for viewing the morning news or binge watching favorite shows from the Oak Hill soaking tub. The master bath perfectly complements the master bedroom, with its architecturally driven bay window, intricately designed ceilings, ottoman and swivel chairs all designed to guide the focus to the outdoor living area.

Collins DuPont’s Ridgeway project received a Silver Aurora award for Best Interior Design of a Custom Home priced over $2,000,000. The home, located in Pine Ridge Estates, blends beautiful ceilings, a neutral color palette, splashes of rich colors and deliberate design details to create a sleek and inviting estate, perfect for entertaining. The living area’s linear fireplace and wood detailing directs the eyes towards a beautiful vaulted ceiling with stained dark wood beams. In the kitchen, glass cabinets artfully rest above the main, neutral cabinetry, adding interest and color, while left of the island, the contrasting grey finish of the bar lends another layer of interest. The dining room is completed with a walk-in glass wine feature, adding dimension, sophistication and harmony to the indoor entertainment space. Throughout the home detailed crown molding, wood coffered and tray ceilings and decorative features create a beautiful canvas. The carefully thought out textures and patterns across textiles, decor and tile work give each room the perfect amount of depth and warmth, creating unique spaces, with a cohesive feel. The master suite is elegant and understated, but makes a wow impact. The natural base and bold splash of yellow create a rich impact in the bathroom. The outdoor living area features coastal-inspired textiles and statement finishes on the outdoor kitchen and fireplace.

Established in 1979, the Aurora Awards are presented each year to outstanding homebuilders, architects, developers, designer and interior merchandisers. This year’s competition drew nearly 200 entries in 54 categories. Entries were reviewed and judged by a panel of six building industry leaders. Judges are selected from among the most creative and successful individuals within the homebuilding industry, and represent the many disciplines contributing to building and design, as well as geographic diversity.

Collins DuPont Design Group’s Aurora Awards will be featured in the upcoming Pro Builder Magazine online.
