CRA Executive Director Hylton-Terry elected as FRA President

The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) announced Executive Director Michele Hylton-Terry has been elected President of the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA).

The election took place during the FRA’s 2025 Annual Conference held last week, where redevelopment professionals from across the state gathered to share innovative ideas and best practices in community revitalization.

As President, Hylton-Terry will lead the statewide organization in its mission to promote, advocate, and provide education for community redevelopment agencies working to revitalize Florida’s urban centers. With more than two decades of experience in community development and public administration, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for creating vibrant, sustainable communities.

“It’s an honor to be entrusted with this leadership role,” said Hylton-Terry. “The work of redevelopment agencies across Florida is vital to ensuring economic opportunity, improving quality of life, and preserving the unique character of our communities. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with my peers to advance the important mission of the FRA.”

Under Hylton-Terry’s leadership, the Fort Myers CRA has spearheaded numerous transformative projects, including downtown revitalization efforts, neighborhood infrastructure improvements, and public-private partnerships that stimulate economic growth. Her appointment as FRA President underscores her dedication and leadership in fostering equitable, impactful redevelopment throughout the state.

The Florida Redevelopment Association, established in 1974, represents more than 200 community redevelopment agencies and organizations across Florida.
