Cypress at Home Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Local philanthropist Dorothy Fitzgerald and Cypress Cove resident Paul Nolen have joined the Cypress at Home board of directors. Each appointment is a one-year term.

About Dorothy Fitzgerald:
With an economics degree from Trinity College and a law degree from Catholic University, both in Washington, D.C., Fitzgerald’s impressive and varied career included working on Capitol Hill, in retail, real estate, and corporate law, and ended with 15 years in healthcare, where she built a medical transcription company that she sold in 2014.
Fitzgerald and husband Ron Fitzgerald have participated in numerous philanthropic endeavors in Southwest Florida for the past 15 years, selecting The Golisano Children’s Hospital as their major focus. The couple were trustees of SWFL Children’s Charities for seven years, and she chaired the SWFL Wine & Food Fest for two years. She also served on Sanibel Captiva Cares, chairing their annual event for two years. Fitzgerald has served on the Lee Health System Foundation for more than eight years and the board of Florida SouthWestern State College for the past six years.
Paul Nolan
About Paul Nolen:
Nolan is a resident of Cypress Cove life plan community, an affiliate company of Cypress at Home under the Cypress Living family corporate umbrella. He brings a broad background, including wealth management and financial planning, to the board. A licensed certified public accountant, he holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, including certificates in financial planning and family mediation. He is a retired career FBI special agent and served as a Diplomat: the United States Department of Justice Legal Attaché to the nations of the Carribean.
