David Lawrence Centers appoints Ron Marquette as director of philanthropy and institutional giving
David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider serving children, adults and families, announced the appointment of Rob Marquette as director of philanthropy and institutional giving.
As a member of the advancement team, Marquette will lead efforts to strengthen philanthropic engagement and institutional giving strategies that advance DLC’s mission and long-term sustainability. In his role, he will cultivate relationships with donors and institutional partners, identify strategic funding opportunities and support the organization’s continued growth.
“Ron’s extensive experience in major giving will help strengthen the philanthropic support that makes it possible for DLC to meet the growing behavioral health needs of our community,” said Kimberly Dye, vice president of advancement at DLC. “As demand for mental health and substance use services continues to rise, his work will help advance our efforts to ensure every individual and family in need has access to compassionate, high-quality care.”
With over two decades of experience in fundraising, Marquette most recently served as major gift officer for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, where he managed a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, implemented a new fundraising management program and led outreach and stewardship efforts. He also worked in healthcare fundraising at Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation in Tampa and, earlier in his career, spent more than 15 years at Bucknell University, where he held several major giving programs and managed new-donor acquisition efforts.
“I am honored to join the DLC team and support an organization that is making such a meaningful difference in the lives community members throughout Collier County,” said Marquette. “I look forward to forging strong philanthropic partnerships that help ensure behavioral healthcare remains accessible to all who need it.”
