David Lawrence Centers welcomes Ernest Jones as community outreach and engagement specialist
David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider, announced Ernest Jones has joined the organization as the community outreach and engagement specialist.
As a member of the prevention and education team in DLC’s Advancement Division, Jones is responsible for all community engagement activities. In this role, he will engage with the community to provide continuity with client and patient referrals, support DLC’s Community Mental Health Partnership Program, and work closely with corporations and faith-based organizations throughout Collier, Lee and surrounding counties.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ernest to the team as we continue to expand our community education and outreach efforts,” said Scott Burgess, chief executive officer of David Lawrence Centers. “Ernest’s work is crucial to advance our mission and ensure we are consistently providing the best possible care for our community.”
Prior to joining DLC, Jones held leadership positions in administration and athletics for over 20 years. He graduated from Alcorn State University with a bachelor of science degree in biology and earned a master of science degree in human services from Concordia University. Jones actively participates in various community groups in Lee County and throughout Southwest Florida.
“I am excited to join the DLC team and support the lifesaving and lifechanging DLC does each and every day,” said Jones. “It is a true privilege to be a part of this transformative organization, and I look forward doing my part to provide hope to Collier County residents in need.”
