Del Webb Oak Creek prepares amenity campus for grand opening
Del Webb, the nation’s leader in active adult communities, is putting the finishing touches on the six-acre resort amenity campus at Del Webb Oak Creek. Created to enhance the vibrant 55+ lifestyle of the North Fort Myers community, the amenities are set to debut in just a few months. The outdoor sports complex, featuring eight pickleball courts and three bocce courts with shaded canopies, is complete and buzzing with activity.
“The excitement is definitely escalating as residents see the amenities taking shape,” said Kathy Korkosz, community association and lifestyle director. “They can’t wait to take a dip in the resort pool, work out in the fitness center and enjoy additional spots to socialize and gather with friends. Del Webb Oak Creek is already a tight-knit community with so much to do, and the new amenities are really going to enhance everyday living for our residents.”
Overlooking the community’s 38-acre fountained lake and island preserve, amenities provide a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for recreation, leisure, wellness and community-wide events. As the centerpiece of Del Webb Oak Creek’s vibrant social and wellness lifestyle, the 17,000-square-foot grand clubhouse will feature sophisticated design reminiscent of an upscale coastal retreat with a soaring volume ceiling and cascading stainless-steel pendant lighting in the social hall, white accented by blue and gray, marbleized finishes and wood pergola beams above the handsome café lounge. Glass-and-wood barn doors open to one of the building’s activity rooms for art, hobbies, cards and other gatherings.
The clubhouse will boast a state-of-the-art performance fitness studio with strength-training and cardio equipment, and a separate movement studio. It will also have a full-service demonstration kitchen equipped with wall ovens, an island with a waterfall countertop, charcoal gray subway tile and lighted display cabinets.
The grand veranda overlooks the freeform resort pool which will offer lap lanes and a surface virtually flush with the pool deck, where lounges will be shaded by umbrellas and palms. There will also be a separate heated spa, a fire pit lounge and a pool bath cabana. The Oak House Bar & Grill will offer a full-service bar, daytime and dinner menus, indoor and poolside patio dining, and seating at the tiki bar.
“Del Webb was very mindful in designing Del Webb Oak Creek’s amenities to appeal to active adults desiring wellness, social connection and the enjoyment of the outdoors,” said Josh Graeve, president for PulteGroup’s Southwest Florida Division. “The community caters to a vacation-everyday Florida lifestyle that’s complemented by a robust calendar of daily activities, events, community clubs, outings and classes coordinated by our lifestyle team. Del Webb Oak Creek perfects the art of living well.”
Residents will be able to walk, cycle or drive to amenities. The campus includes plenty of parking and bike racks.
Del Webb Oak Creek offers more than 900 new-construction single-family homes overlooking 80 acres of lakes and abundant nature preserves.
